Exclamation Structure Update Request

I was having problems with Structure 1.1 and decided to uninstall and reinstall it.

Neither the IEP Backup Discs nor the Structure 1.1 download will allow me to install the plugin without the library. I tried cancelling the setup process once it asked for Disc 1, but that also rolled back the plugin install.

Is there a special way to get it to work? If not, then this is a terrible oversight and it would be nice if it was corrected asap. In the meantime, I'm at having to go through the entire installation process with 5 sample discs just to get the plugin.

* Wipes forehead * Ok I got it to work.

On the first part of the installation the Structure plugin is placed into the DAE Plug-ins folder. However, like I mentioned earlier everything is rolled backed if you cancel without installing the library. I simply started the install, copied the Structure plugins (.dpm and .dpm.rsr) to the Desktop, cancelled the install, then copied them back to the DAE Plug-ins folder. All is well and the session is up and running fine.

It would be nice if, like Komplete, you can uncheck the Library and only install the plugin. Structure has this option but it does not work. Hopefully this can be fixed with an update.

Not gonna happen, nor should it. If you want a VST sampler, there are a large number to choose from.

PITA! Avid Virtual Instruments has just allowed deselecting the Content from the Plug-In installer. Perhaps future PTIEP installers will follow suit.

A PITA for sure. I ended up having to do a reinstall the plugin (with the library ) once I got some downtime. The bootleg way left out C: folders and specifics that needed to be installed.

Which Avid VI's are you referring to that allow deselecting the content? Other than the stock VI's, I thought there were only the VI's included with IEP. Even the Structure separate download did not allow me to deselect the content.

Avid Virtual Instruments formerly known as Creative Collection.

Gotcha.

I have over 500 GB of sample libraries backed up on two external drives. I never want to install them again and so far (though the plugins have been reinstalled) there has been no need to do so. IEP is the only one that causes this inconvenience. Hopefully it will be updated very soon.

The original discs before the PTIEP Upgrade functioned in the desired manner. My personal feeling is to point the finger at excessive hand-holding.

Spenner. Snatching the Structure plug-in onto the desk top then putting it in the plug-ins folder after canceling the installation worked for me as well. What a waste of time it would have been to reinstall the whole content. Awesome. Thanks!
