I'm really happy to see a developer sharing his experience with us! The Avid site has unfortunately been a train wreck for a couple years so it's not unreasonable at all to come here looking for help. He's also doing something really creative.

I'm looking forward to this. Your open SDK to create our own modules for the W4000 is a first for PT. Two thumbs up for that one!

So far nothing from either Avid or Pace. But I guess that since its a BIG company it will take some time. Now, if they ask me $ 500 to just start up, that´s insane, we are small, really small. Its mainly me here with some people helping me out, also mainly for free. ;-)

As for the video, I will try to make better ones. Here´s the latest:

Now, if PT users really want to give me a hand, be sure to check the latest GB deal. Maybe if I get enough PT users in there I could afford Pace´s BLEEP thing...

Move into coding plugins for reaper. Their software and support is far superior, and they are gaining momentum and popularity.

Just out of curiosity, what is the driving force for you making Wusik 4000 a Pro Tools (i.e. AAX 64bit, or RTAS 32bit) plug-in?

Obviously I applaud your efforts, and welcome new plug-ins that we can use directly in Pro Tools - I'm certainly not trying to talk you out of achieving that goal.

But given the scale of your operation, your budgetary constraints, and the level of commitment Avid would require of you, might it make more sense for you to concentrate on 64bit VSTi (and AU)?

There are any number of ways we can use Wusik 4000 as a VSTi in Pro Tools 11, hosted within AAX plug-ins such as Blue Cat's MB-7, or Vienna Ensemble Pro, hosted in freeware like VST Lord, or hosted within other DAW's such as Live, or Reaper, and ReWired directly in to Pro Tools.

Maybe that's a more cost effective solution for the time being?

Cheers!
