Default Available chips on HD1?

Anyone here with a HD1 system who cares to let me know how many available chips one has when starting with a blank song? In other words, how much TDM power is used for summing the tracks befor eany plugins are inserted? 1 Chip ? Three chips?

Thanks

I just heard that an "empty" song on HD1 (with one interface) uses circa one chip, in other words 7 avilable.

Would be interesting to hear what an empty song in HD2 w/ two interfaces (or 192+AD) occupies...

Depending on the number of voices (you can have up to 48 on one chip at 'max voices')

On my HD2 with 32 tracks I am only using one chip at 48. And I thought there were 9 chips on each card...so that would leave me 8 and 9..

But hell I could be wrong, I've only maxxed out on DSP once since I upgraded, so I haven't paid much attention:)

HEy Seeds?

How powerful is your HD2 system?
I plan to upgrade soon and only need up to 32 tracks with 4 stereo efx bus, plus eq and compression on every channel.

It is awesomely powerful. I have only run out of DSP once on the last 25 tracks. It would seem if you need more power than this then the music is lacking

But you know, when you own a fast car...it is really fast for the first month or two but doesnt seem as fast after you are used to it......hehe.
