Default Pitch shift without time correction in PT11?

I was surprised to see that Avid ditched the Time Correction checkbox when updating Pitch II. After migrating to PT11, I quickly discovered how much I use pitch shifting without time correction.
Seems none of my other pitch plugins has this function, so the only workaround I found is to export the audio file to Kontakt, and pitching it old school style, and then re-record it and re-allign it. Kind of time consuming and "flow-killing". Am I just missing out on something here, or doesn´t anyone make an AAX 64 pitch plugin for Audio Suite with this option?

AudioSuite > Pitch Shift > Time Shift > Mode > Varispeed

Quote:
Varispeed Select Varispeed to link time and pitch change for tape-like pitch and speed change effects, and post production workflows.
Hopefully that will speed up your workflow and production.

I have found that "Pitch 'n Time Pro" is the best thing going for pitch shifting.

Thanks guys! Shane: Time Shift with Varispeed is great. It´s even better than the old Pitch plugin, since I can choose between dialling in the amount of pitch change I want, or the bpm destination and get the same processing. I´ll check out Pitch 'n Time Pro as well.

Glad to hear it worked out. It's also easy on the wallet.

x-Form to me has been the Best. but I've only tested the time compression / expansion options. not sure about pitch but it was far smoother sounding that any of the other options at the time of my tests.

Pitch N Time included, although this was about 6 years ago. I testes Waved SOund shifter, Elastic Audio, Ableton, traktor, Pitch N Time, Speed. X-Form was the best sounding algorithm at the time.

I used the add on Audio suite plug for the tests.

I too used the Pitch 1 alot without the Time Correction. It's a good and quick way to 'scale' sounds; to make them bigger or smaller. And to have a good effect the sound must stretch as well. The Varispeed does not do that. It doesn't stretch the sound. It doesn't 'scale' the sound. It just speeds up or slows down gradually. Totally different but also very usefull of course.
I now use the Waves Soundshifter Parametric. Just set the 'Link Mode' of this plugin to 'Strapped' and you'll have the same effect as with PT Pitch 1 without Time Correction.

Me too, Wasaia. I just got on PT11/12 and I'm really bummed that option to turn time correction off is gone. I also use Pitch to scale things quite often.
