Default Wave Plugins not working as they should

I just installed PT 7.3 not too long ago with 003. Used to have 6.4 with the M-box.
The plugins worked perfectly on 6.4.
Now if I want to listen to a track as I make a change in the settings of the Waves the plugins (reverb and comp) the audio always stops and I have to do the change then replay.
I can not listen while changing any settings. This is of course only when I highlight an area and want to listen that way. Not when I bus the plugin.

What should I do?
I have not yet tried to uninstall and reinstall the Waves. Wanted to ask here before I did that.

You need to install the "Waves PT7 Update" for the plug-ins to work. And you'll have to update all your other plug-ins. The RTAS engine got overhauled in PT 7.

Shan,

The update you're talking about, is it the top one on this page where it says "PC (2 MB)" under the ProTools 7 Update?

Yes. And of course your WUP needs to be paid to get this...
