I mean your audio drive with your sessions. I had one a few years back that displayed the same symptoms you've described , and it ended up being a faulty drive. Something to consider and look at during your troubleshooting process. If you have another audio drive, give it a go with a fresh session.

OK! Found a work-around.

Here's the deal - I've got four drives...two active drives, and two back-up drives. Pro Tools should NOT know about the two back-up drives. It doesn't use them. Heck, *I* don't even use them regularly.

However, for some reason between Friday and today, PT decided to try to access those drives. I can't explain how/why/what, but as soon as we unmounted those two back-up drives, Pro Tools functions normally.

Silly, but I'll take it.
