Music is many people's passion, and most don't ask for gear donations, especially after boasting about having a management contract.
Why on earth would folks want to donate gear to you?
Because you have a passion for music?
How about earn your way, like the rest of us do?
Just a thought.

I've never mentioned this here but I'm an up & coming Pop/R&B artist and I've been singing & performing since the age of 7. I'm currently signed to a management company (www.sheamgmt.net) and we're working on some big things for 2010. Right now I choose to record out of my home studio for the most part.

Right now I am using an Sterling Audio ST77 mic, ART MPA Gold Pre, sE Reflexion filter, Event TR5 mons, and an Mbox mini. You can check out my website and keep in mind that everything you hear was recorded and mixed by me (with that gear) but lately, I've been feeling like I need a better sound... (fuller, warmer & clearer). If anyone is able to donate any gear, I'd greatly appreciate it! & keep in mind that it will be used for good purposes! You could hear my music at the links below. Also PM me for my email. Thank you.

It's a movement!
I just checked out some of your tracks. I'd suggest just hiring a good mix engineer to polish them up for you. Make a proposal to your management to cover the cost of mixing and mastering. It wont hurt to ask. I understand trying to do it all on your own keeps costs way down but any Sean Ray success will be backed by a team of people at some point. Your tracks are done, get them mixed by a good mix engineer.

hey dude, check out gearsluts.com and find the "free stuff....lets do it again" thread. Folks have been giving away unused gear on the condition that whomever received an item also gives away something not used and it looks like it is working....unfortunately I have never logged on at the right time to participate

Shan has the right idea, if your management is worth a _____ and they actually are behind you, they should support you in getting better recordings.

I assume he recorded a choir of COW-boys, so MOO-lodyne would be perfect.
Just make sure to run it thru your outboard BULL-tech EQ.

I have a spare TC-Helicon YEEEHAA-lizer to give away. It makes every voice sound like you had a pound of chewing tobacco in your mouth. You have to back off the low-end a fairly bit to make it sit in a mix, though.
