Windows 10 Upgrade = Error 7054 on Izotope plugins

Hello Avid Users,

I'm having a problem with my System and I'd really appreciate some advice.

My Pro Tools 10 with Izotope Ozone 5 and a few Waves plugins was working fine, then I upgraded my Windows from 8.1 to 10 and when next I opened Pro Tools my Izotope plugins gave me the error 7054 message and are now all inactive.

I've checked a bunch of other threads and followed most of the advice I could find; reset the preferences, made sure everything was up to date, changed the amount of processors allocated to Pro Tools, and I reinstalled Pro Tools and Izotope (clean; removed everything first and then reinstalled) and still Izotope won't work; ERROR 7054.

It has to be something to do with the Windows update and I would really appreciate if anyone has some advice on this.

Avid has not only not qualified PT for Windows 10, they strongly advise AGAINST it for now. I personally would roll back to 8.1 since it actually worked.

As mentioned by sw_rec, Avid strongly advises not to use Windows 10 until qualification with PT is 100% completed. I'd recommend subscribing to this AKB article and/or the Tech Alerts forum for an availability alert. If you feel the need to trail blaze, I'd suggest doing a dual boot.

When I updated to Win10 I had a problem with Izotope plugs authorizations. I had a different error, but if you are using a different auth type (i.e. USB key vs iLok vs local machine), the fundamental problem could be the same. Email tech support - they were very helpful in getting me reauthorized within a day or so.

sw rec, Shan; Somehow, in my searching, I missed the articles about Windows 10... *Facepalm. Thanks for the links and info. If Izotope support can't help me with authentications, I'll move back to Win 8.

I have a test drive with Windows 10 and Pro Tools 12.2. Izotope plug-ins run perfectly here. Actually, this has become my main production drive.

Of course I don't recommend it for anyone other than myself.

OP how are you authorizing Ozone? If it's via iLok, check your Programs and Features and make sure you only have one version of the Pace iLok Manager installed.

Go here www.iLok.com and download the latest version. For some reason when installing older plugins, they install an old version of the ILM even when you have a newer version installed, at least on Windows 10. So, install your plugins. Uninstall everything iLok, then install the latest ILM and see if that works. That's what I had to do to get Ozone 5 running again in PT12 on Win10.

So when will they approve Win 10 ? I mean it has been out for quite a while, and it is really lame you have to wait so long,considering Microsoft made Win 10 available to developers etc, quite some time ago.
I just built a new Audio PC workstation,and I just went to Win 10 Pro,I'm currently running PTHD 11.3.2 on it and so far it's working ok, the quicktime issue is a non factor now,because Apple released a version that installed on Win 10, so I just don't understand the delay.
I'm running Isotope RX3 advance no problems and a boatload of other plugs
