Compatibility

To use the Eleven Rack Editor, you must have an Eleven Rack with Firmware version 2.0.x (the Eleven Rack Expansion Pack).

To check the firmware version on your unit, hold the EDIT/BACK button on the front panel until the options menu appears. Then, use the scroll wheel to scroll down the list, and select Firmware Version with the SW 1 button.

If the firmware version is older than version 2.0, you will need to purchase and install the Eleven Rack Expansion Pack, available here.

If your Eleven Rack has older firmware, the Eleven Rack Editor may still function somewhat, but the on-screen controls will not correctly correspond with parameters and presets.

Eleven Rack Editor is compatible with the following operating systems:
Mac OS X 10.8-10.8.5 and 10.9-10.9.1 (OS 10.7.5 and earlier are not compatible)
Windows 7 SP1 and Windows 8/8.1 (64-bit only)

Eleven Rack Drivers
Please install the latest Eleven Rack drivers before installing the Eleven Rack Editor.

PACE/iLok
An iLok is NOT required, but there are some PACE/iLok software elements that are required. This should be installed automatically.

If the iLok software was not installed automatically with the Eleven Rack Editor, you can install the iLok License Manager manually.

No, and Yes.

That's not how the Editor works, its not a plug-in.

The Editor is Standalone, meaning you can run it as you would any other application, it does not require Pro Tools to be open or even installed.

But, yes, you can open the Standalone Editor while Pro Tools 11 is open - just watch the video at the beginning of this thread, you will see the Editor in use.

Something everyone should be aware of is that the Standalone Editor displays the 'Q' values on the Parametric EQ differently vs. the Integrated Editor and Eleven Rack unit.

Yes thanks - I had already sussed it out and have been using it for a number of weeks now, it works fine...I guess I and others were expecting it to work as a new AAX version that was instigated from within PT11 as it was in previous non-AAX versions :-)

hi guys i'm running a mac with mavericks os, all drivers are up to date, but when trying to install the stand alone editor it comes up with a warning.. could not initialise eleven rack midi engine,. I've tried the suggested fix of creating a new user 5 different times and still not working. any help would be awesome. I'm also technologically retarded so i may being just doing something dumb. thanks guys.

can anyone help me?? i thick its pretty dumb that i have to pay for support from avid to help me with this. i have posted on numerous forums over the last couple weeks and and searched high and low for an answer and no one can help.. would really really appreciate it if somebody could help me trouble shoot this.

I'm having the same trouble. I was so looking forward to using the editor this weekend, but the links at that website are broken. I've tried safari, firefox, and chrome on a mac, so i guess someone forgot to update them...

This is always the same problem with avid, as you can't open a ticket unless you open a support ticket, and for this you have to pay for support...one of few companies that can get away with selling the products, but not providing support for them unless you pay for support...

Does anyone have the Eleven Rack Standalone Editor and drivers?
