Default Errors AAE-9173 and 'Audio Processing deadline not met' since upgrading

I recently updated to PT2021.10.0 on OS X 10.14.6 MacPro. I am constantly getting errors AAE -9173 at the beginning of every session doing nothing, just opening a new or old session. Also, getting 'Audio Processing deadline was not met' all the time as well.

I have active subscription to PT Ultimate. Avid support tells me I need to enter recovery mode (command + R) in order to Disable System Integrity Protection (SIP) https://avid.secure.force.com/pkb/ar...-Errors-on-Mac

Unfortunately I have spent hours trying to enter Recovery Mode with multiple key commands and articles from Apple. It doesn't work. Avid says they CANNOT HELP and that it is an 'Apple issue'.

If anyone has advice or has encountered this issue, I would be very grateful for any help from the community. Thank you so much!! Mark

Default Re: Errors AAE-9173 and 'Audio Processing deadline not met' since upgrading

Hi. I'm on HDX/MacPro 5.1 and Mojave, and I have similar issues with any PT versions after 2021.3.1, which worked fine. Smooth handling of even multiple instances of Zynaptiq 'De-Chirp' and other very demanding plugins, and processing reasonably evenly spread between the cores on the PT system usage meter.

All later versions I've tried won't play such sessions, giving instant -9173 errors. Indeed, just ONE instance of 'De-Chirp' or similar plugin gives a severe activity peak on two cores, with spikes of total CPU approaching 100%, and adding just one further plugin instance causes -9173's again.

Fortunately, sessions created under 2021.12 do seem to open OK under 2021.3.1, so perhaps that's a workaround for you.

Let us know if you find a better solution.

Martin.
