Building a New Beast
Hey kids! Need your advice!
Been on a 2005 G4 w/ an original MBox (PT 7.4) for 6 years and want to upgrade. The core thing I need is to be able to use my current sessions on the new system (they'll convert automatically, right?). Also need to be able to import my Waves Platinum bundle. I do voiceovers full-time -- recording one track at a time with 3-4 plug-ins -- so I don't need a screaming machine, but I do need some solid beef. Considering: Mac Mini w/ MBox 2 I only hardware item I *need* is s/pdif on the MBox -- audio is coming out of a tc electronics Gold Channel. Gimme what you got! And thanks! Re: Building a New Beast
yes you old session will open in new version (if you use templates you will probably want to make new ones in the Template option)
with 9 a MBox is not needed so you may want to look at other options http://www.airusersblog.com/pro-tool...dware-checker/ including using the computers digital audio in your Waves may need to be updated depending on what version you have (I'm fairly sure it will need to be updated)
