Default Using Logic EQ\'s Revebs and Space Designer in PT

I'm wondering if I upgrade to Logic Pro 7 which supposedly has the TDM Bridge built in, will I be able to use Logics Reverbs or Space Designer as plug-ins in Pro Tools. I'm quite comfortable editing in Pro Tools but hopeless in Logic, but I would love to be able to use the EQ's and reverbs in Pro Tools.
Thanks,
Glen

No.. at least the word I have heard is that it's all proprietary to Logic only.

It basically bridges the host-based mixer with the TDM mixer, allowing users of ProTools hardware to combine both native and TDM processing.

Here is a more accurate explanation.

Logic - TDM bridge

The Emagic System Bridge TDM is the ideal link between the DSP world of your TDM system, and your computer's previously unexploited native CPU processing resources. It allows Logic's native audio engine to be routed into the TDM mixer. This enables all Logic tracks, native and VST plug-ins (Mac OS 9) or Audio Unit plug-ins (Mac OS X), including Audio Instruments, to be used in conjunction with your TDM system DSPs. ESB TDM also enhances the functionality of the EXS24 by allowing it to be inserted into the Aux channels of Logic Platinum's TDM mixer.

Actually the answer is Yes. The XSKey that comes with Logic has the authorisation for Space Designer and a few others.. You will need a file called thw Host TDM enabler Here .

I hope you come back to this thread.

Thanks, not to be an idiot, I just want to carefully word this. I already have Logic Pro 6 and authorization for Space Designer. I'm not concerned about using the TDM's power IN LOGIC. What I would like to be able to do is use Logic's Eq's, Reverbs & Space Designer in Pro-Tools. I used the Host TDM Enabler Demo a year ago and I seem to remember being able to open Space Designer in Pro Tools but unable to load any of the presets. While it would be great if I could use Space Designer and it's presets as a plug in in Pro Tools, and Logics EQ's and Reverbs w/ presets as plug ins in Pro Tools also, I would settle for the ability to use just the Eq's and Reverbs w/ presets in Pro Tools. Essentially editing in Logic is not an option for me, so before I spend yet another $300 bucks to upgrade to 7 from 6, I'm feeling burned because I spent $300 to upgrade to 6 from 5 last summer, I would like to make sure I can use Logics resources in Pro Tools. Due to conflicting answers, has anyone actually tried to do this w/ success or failure. I originally purchased Logic for the EXS24 sampler but am now using Mach 5 since it works as a Pro Tools plug in and is infinitely easier to use than Logic. I'm in Film not music so Logic while powerful is very foreign.
Thanks again for the responses,
Glen

In Protools HD 6.9, the following Logic plug-ins are available as inserts in Protools:
1-Space Designer
2-EVB3
3-EVD6
I heard you can also get EXS but mine doesn't show up

I cannot import the presets unless I convert them one by one and even then I was not successful - others have been able to. With Space Designer, you can use all of the IRs in both SD as well as TLSpace. They are quite good and really expand my IR library.

This is with Logic Pro 7. I do not know about 6. Search the DUC for Space Designer and you will get more information.

As I suspected, you need the Emagic licence in order to use this - it's not included with Logic 7. Bummer! Best.....H

I don't know how I got the license. My XSkey is for LP7 only and the HTDM enabler was already authorised on the key. Did you upgrade from 6 and not get a new key?

Thanks for all the info. I'm still considering whether or not to take the jump into Logic 7. The info will help.

I upgraded from 6 - no auth. Are you saying that new keys include the authorization???

Best....H
