FS: Broken HDX card for spare parts or repair

FS: Broken HDX card for spare parts or repair.
Computer sees the card. Pro Tools doesn't see the card.
The card is missing mounting bracket and the Fan.
It looks like a card from an S3L E3 engine.

Avid refused to repair this card with the following reasoning:

"After the first inspection by our repair team it appears that the HDX card with*serial number*BLDJL33600208D*has signs of having been heavily intervened by the previous owners (the face plate, shroud and fan are missing, it also looks like some components were desoldered and removed from the PCB).
These modifications seem*to have been performed in order to convert the card*into an E3 Engine compatible HDX card which is a non-reversible transformation, and the signs of usage show that it was used inside of an E3 Engine.
In other words, the card had been modified to change it’s functionality*as a Pro Tools HDX Card into an E3 Engine HDX Card for Live Sound which is a process we can no longer reverse.* In addition to all this, the card is no longer repairable due to the level of damage."

This is where I bought this card from. He is already aware of the fact these cards cannot be repaired by Avid.

I mean, no offense, but is this card usable for anything? It sounds like it’s been bricked, and if you were going to use it for parts, wouldn’t you just get parts from Avid instead?

I think it could only be usable for someone who knows how to repair a card like this and who knows how to order spare parts from Avid. Maybe an Avid technician could purchase the card, repair it and sell it? I don't know...

Avid officially refused fixing this card due to reasons posted above.

If the price is low enough, it may be attractive to a repair person that may not want to wait for parts. I doubt this card is repairable in a practical sense. But who knows?

Or let me know what this card is worth to you before I decide to put it on the wall as a reminder of Avid's slow and unhelpful support. After keeping my card for 3 months Avid gave me only the option to destroy the card on site. Card which actually runs and is seen by computer system profile... It's probably 1 hour job to put the missing pars on it.
