Default Shortcut commands

They have a thread like this running over on the MAC side (the dark side). I thought it would be a good idea to have everyone list their favorite shortcut commands.

I use this one a lot: Ctrl Z = I messed up.

"CTRL =" -> toggle between mix & edit windows
"CTRL G" -> Groups pop-up window
"CTRL SHIFT K" -> Export to file

Just to name a few (and to keep in the spirit of things..).

If you have PTLE 6+ you can enable the [a-Z] shortcuts option and eliminate the "CTRL" part of "CTRL Z" so just typing "Z" will undo instead of "CTRL Z".
Also works for copy (CTRL C), cut (CTRL X), paste (CTRL V), etc.. All you'll need to do is type the letter without "CTRL". Pretty cool I think...

I like this idea, I don't have anything that cool to offer, but I use alt+shift+3 all the time (consolidate region) and I have ctrl+[ and ctrl+] mapped to my right and left buttons on my mouse. oh, and ctrl+= is mapped to my scroll wheel button. Seriously, get a five- (or more) button mouse, people, you won't regret it.

Oh, and tab-to-transient is the best thing in PT.

ctl+windowskey+F - creates fade on the fly (I think only with a..z)
click and hold on group name - handy little pop up show/hide group thingy.
ctl click with selector - preroll selection
left arrow - centres start of selection
right arrow - centres end of selection
ctl [ - zoom out
ctl ] - zoom in
ctl-K - pre/post roll on/off
alt-K - input/output monitor

Sorry, couldn't stop ...

with command focus ON (the a...z thingy)

d = fade from the beginning of the region to here
f = crossfade of the selected area
g = fade from here to the end of the region

If you want to know them ALL...print out the keyboard shortcuts PDF document found in the help-section.....

i just looove the down and up arrows, so simple but soo sweeet
(i.e. you can select your region on the fly; down arrow being "in" (or from) and
up arrow being "out" (to))

PT rulez (has got to be said once in a while)
