Original Mbox vs. Mbox 2 (preamps)

Hey all,

I've got an original Mbox and was considering upgrading to mbox2. My only concern is I have heard talk that the digi preamps in the new Mbox2 are not as good a focusrite in my orginal mbox. Main reason I would like to switch is for the separate volume for monitors. Any opinions would be appreciated.

My 2 cents but the Focusrite preamps in the old Mbox are not really that good so I expect the Mbox 2 will sound better, quieter and cleaner due to improved technology and better converters. YMMV

I own both and I think the mbox 2 sounds just as good if not a little better.Plus, having the low latency monitoring option is a huge bonus.Oh yeah, and the extra ins and outs of course!
