Default Waves L3-16

Can anyone run waves L3-16?
Wanted to demo it, and see it was worth buying the "enriched uranium" bundle to get it, but it chokes my macpro!!
So, I can run 250 SSL comps at 96k, but not 1 L316 at 96k???
I guess waves wrote this plug in for the new 16 core due out in 2011.
Anyone able to run this thing?
Waves tech support said .." well its a heavy plugin..."
wow, what computer does run it??

Anyone using it in the kryptonite bundle??
I have PT HD accel2 MAC PRO quad 2.66 2 gigs ram, OS 10.4.9 and 7.3.1 CS2

Should be able to SQUEAK OUT at least 1 L316 with this rig, right??
for cryin in a bucket!!

On a side note, I emailed waves telling them I was on hold forever, and needed support and the responded asking me for my phone number so they could CALL ME!!!
Those guys have had a big sip of love juice or something!!
When you listen to waves plugins without "waves hate" in your head, they do some really nice things!!
Their plugs sound real real good today!!:))

I use it, successfully, every day.

However, since it does indeed put a heavy load on my CPU (things become a bit sluggish, albeit free of any audio-related downsides) I am now in the habit of inserting the new L3-LL in its stead while I’m working on a session — finally substituting with the L3-16 only when I’m ready to print.

I should also point out that I have yet to use the L3-16 with a 96 kHz session, as all work coming my way in recent memory has been of the 44.1 kHz persuasion.

Two thoughts about the above.

1) As of today, OSX 10.4.9 remains unqualified by Digidesign.

2) From personal experience, I consider 3 MB of RAM to be a minimum amount for today’s OS and PT pairing.

IHTH.
