Session opens in PT10 but not in PT11 - Playback Engine does not support...
I have a session that opens fine in PT10, but I am wanting to migrate to PT11.
When I try to open it in PT11 I get the error: The current playback engine does not support a sample rate of 96 KHz. The sample rate of the session is 48 KHz actually. I can solve this by killing the Windows Audio service (as suggested in another thread on the DUC). With that service killed, the session opens fine. But with this service killed no sound plays from streaming audio. So I have to restart the Windows audio service. But then, I get the error in ProTools 11 again. Any help?

Re: Session opens in PT10 but not in PT11 - Playback Engine does not support...
I went a step beyond that. I got tired of deactivating and re-activating the windows audio service.
So if you follow to the end of that thread I posted the link to, I now leave the Windows audio service on, but I set the internal audio card as the default. When streaming audio, or doing anything out of ProTools for that matter, the audio comes out of the internal audio jack on the PC. I then route this to my mixer. Now I can run PT11 and streaming audio without doing anything. I'm back baby!
