Default is DIGI really dropping Mac Support?

I know this goes around a lot, but I keep hearing "I hear from an insider at Digi that in a few years, PT will be windows only"!! Is this really true?

It seems odd that it would happen!! its like dropping the 001 except a lot more severe.

Digi, can you confirm or deny this??

No, it must be true! I remember hearing that 3 years ago, 5 years ago... and back when AVID first came out for PC! They always say the gig is up in 2 years.

We're DOOMED! DOOMED, I tell you.

that would totally stink.....I think it would hurt digi more than anything......MOST professional pro tools users use only macs for their PT work......I think a move like that could eliminate pro tools from the "gold standard" position in the industry to which it currently claims title....You just don't go to a pro dub stage and see PC's running pro tools. Digi, keep your head on straight.

Wow, this can open a big 'O' can of worms! Let's see....Avids' composer/ Symphony/ Adrenaline all run on Mac now. Nitris only PC. That'd be a bad move dropping the Mac side of the audio market. Seems to me Digi is having a rough time with Apple going thru cats (Jaguar..10.1-10.1.1-10.1.2-10.2-10.2.2-10.2.4-10.2.6-10.2.8--Panther10.3-10.3.1-10.3.3-10.3.4...Tiger) faster than J'Lo goes thru Men!
Bwaaaa ha ha ha ha
