Eliminate INSANE guitar fret noise
Dear lord! This acoustic guitar noise is insane! Any advice? It's ear piercingly loud!

Re: Eliminate INSANE guitar fret noise
For me, mic placement and careful playing take care of it.

Re: Eliminate INSANE guitar fret noise
If you have it compressed, then it will have more fret noise than the raw track. But maybe you are talking about the raw track.
tele_player's response sounds good to me.

Re: Eliminate INSANE guitar fret noise
also, there are a few "tricks" you can do to minimize that lovely noise. Soak your fingers until they are wrinkly. Or you can cover your fingers in talcom powder. Or there is the always frowned upon string cleaner stuff, that crap that apparently also lubricates the strings allowing you to play faster while magically restoring the tone. I tried it and never noticed an improvement in tone, but it did kill some of that bastard noise.
