Cannot Record or import files - long error message

Hi,

Just recently my Pro tools 7.1.1 has been experiencing the following problem. It wont allow me to record or import files into my existing session.

I get this message when trying to record.

Could not complete your request because assertation in "/Volumes/Development/vbpc/AlturaPorts/SDKs/Neo61/Libraries/Macintosh/Enviroments/Alone/../../../../Source/Cneolnode.cpp", line 1242.

I get the same message when trying to import Audio files into a session but the message starts with "Could not complete importing audio ....." then the rest is the same.

Cannot work out what is going wrong at all.. i've tried loads of different things but as i'm only a new convert to Macs (6 months) the above message means very little to me.

I have a macbook 13" white, 2.0 ghz with 1.25 ram PT LE 7.1.1 Mbox2
I have Prolific PL3507 Combo Device firewire external drive 300gig
And a 17" acer LCD external monitor

If anybody has any ideas i would much appreciate it as its killing me not being able to finish some projects.
