I have not had this problem before. However,
I am using the "Wait for note" function when recording Midi in 6.9. Prior to hitting the trigger to commence recording, the click track is as loud as I need it. But, when I hit that first note, the click gets "quiet" even though I am maintaining the same fader level and I am using the Off function for that fader. ("off" as opposed to "read", "write..etc..). As Jerry Seinfeld might ask: "What's up with that?" Thanks ! Joel

I was thinking maybe some volume automation was kicking in ..but if you are not in read..?? I don't know. Is a MIDI control change possibly hitting that track?

I'm using the click plug in. Not a midi device or trigger.
I just cannot figure it out. It is terribly annoying. I even added an eq plugin on that click track, and it gets quiet-er too. Any other suggestions? Thanks everyone!

You have to setup the click for reocrding and playback. There are different options for when you want to hear the click. It also may be a case of not selecting the right monitoring. Try rec enabling the midi click track.
of couse Powerjoe, you may lose a bit on the Davec and have to start a new 30 page thread with Matt all over again.

Email me your session.. I want to see how you have everything routed.. sounds like you're double monitoring until you enter record.

Maybe he has the Record and Playback faders unlatched in Preferences? If that's the case, then it would be possible to have a lower volume when in record than when playing back.
Cheers,
