I dont think nuendo supports DAE though you could run it through core audio possibly or through the direct i/o asio driver.
you cant use tdm in nuendo though, thats for sure. your tdm system would simply be 16 channels of a/d/a and nothing more. |

Well, I've tried Nuendo on my HD system. Nuendo will not recognize DAE, but you can use 8 outs of your interface through CoreAudio. (At least you can in HD) If you're in X, and CoreAudio recognizes your 888, then you should be okay to go. Just don't go looking for TDM plugs, etc.

Very unfair of me. I just felt your response to me was a little ungrateful sounding.
I could see wanting to do it for the sake of not using multiple systems or having another card in the system. But, I have heard nothing good about nuendo on the mac. So myself, I wouldnt waste the money. But seeing as nuendo is a great platform itself, it would make sense having the compatibility. but your options for converters are wide open and limiting yourself to the 888 to me doesnt make sense. get a cheap pc and an old motu 2408 mk2 or any of a million other cheap and good converters if i were you. cause if you have the grand to spend on nuendo, you may have another grand for another pc and card. if nothing else, i just bumped your thread. |
