Default PT8HD iLok/Plug In's

iLok and G5 PT8HD


Mac G5 ,OS 10.5.6, Pro Tools 8HD,not hooked up to the internet.
Generation 1 iLok died.

Pace / iLok recovered the authorizations/licenses.(1.jpg)

I downloaded the licenses from my iLok account on a MACSTUDIO ,OS 14.6
to an unused Gen 1 iLok.

Plugged it back into the G5 and got most of the licenses back.

However some of the AVID licenses didn’t transfer.(2.jpg)

I did try putting a Smack/Impact license on a 2nd generation iLok but got an error message and it didn’t work.(3.jpg.)

When I try to open them up I get messages.(4,5,6,7jpg)

Everything worked before the original iLok died.

Any ideas on how to get the Avid licenses back and working?

Impact and Smack are the most important ones as I have over 100 sessions using them.

Obviously the ones with the newer deposit dates,they go with my MBOXSTUDIO(1.jpg) are not the problem just the older ones.

And BTW the RTAS version of Smack works, it's just the TDM versions of Smack and Impact that aren't working.

See my previous post…PACE has changed something and all newly transferred licenses appear as corrupt and won’t work on legacy rigs.

AVID has been in touch with PACE, but they don’t really seem to want to help.

This is a SERIOUS issue…we’ve essentially lost thousands of dollars in licenses that we can no longer use on our systems here.

There's an issue we've been investigating for Avid that has arisen on older Pro Tools plugins, where it's had troubles seeing the licenses on iLok v.1. This may be your issue as well, for those plugins you mentioned. I'm going to check, and will let you know what we find.
