Default Blue screen of death/mbox PTLE 6.7

I just bought an Mbox off of ebay and am having trouble trying to get it installed properly. My laptop is an HP Compaq NC6120 with a Pentium M processor, 512k ram with xP, sevice pak 1. It is a work laptop, and I don't have admin priviledges on it, but supposedly 6.7 will work like that. I have made the system tweaks as indicated in the manual, and it appears to install fine. When I try to run ProTools, I get a blue screen and the following message:

A problem has been detected and windows has been shut down to prevent damage to your computer.

An attempt was made to execute non-executable memory,

If this is the first time that you have seen this stop error screen, restart your computer. If this appears again, follow these steps:

Check to make sure any new hardware or software is properly instaled. If this is anew installation, ask your hardware or software manufacturer for any windows updates you may need.

If problems continue, disable or remove any newly installed hardware or software. disable BIOS memory options such as caching or shadowing. If you need to use safe mode to remove or disable components, restart your computer, pres F8 to select advanced startup options, and then select safe mode.

Technical information:

****Stop: 0x000000FC (0xA9DED918, 0x1888A163, 0xA(DED88C, 0x00000001)

Has any one run across this? In appendix a in the manual it says that if the blue screen happens at startup to uninstall PTLE and Quicktime, and reinstall. I did this, but it still does not work.

Does anyone out these know how to fix this?

Thanks,

NP
