Simulating a 5.1 mix
Is there a plugin or other program that will automatically create a simulated 5.1 (six track) mix out of an LTRT or LCRS mix?

Re: Simulating a 5.1 mix
hi,
there have been posts on this topic before and I suggest you check them out. I recently did a upmix session from a stereo-signal to 5.1 with the TC6000 system and the Unwrap-plugin. It work wonderfully and I was impressed how little had to be tweaked to make it sound good. I have heard stories though that it doesn't work so well on everything and the old rule 'garbage in/garbage out' applies here too. If you have the chance, check it out. I also hereby would like to ask developers to come up with an upmix algorithm-plugin for Protools (preferrable for Mix & HD) Good luck! Barnier
