The air flow IS a problem with the Perdue drum room. 3 services on Sunday. By the 3rd service the drummers are seeing visions. Sweat Lodge man.

We're working on building an 8x9 'rolling' platform with an air flow solution. The biggest hurdle is anything you do to open it up... opens it up. lets sound out. So... baffled air flow with silent fans. The dang platform is probably gonna end up costing more than the drum room. LED lighting too to keep heat down.
If anyone is interested, I could email some pdfs of the plans once they are done and some pics of the finished product.

Just talked to Chad Whiteley http://whiteleysolutions.com/ about his drum shield solution. Scratch everything I said before about ME trying to build a platform with air flow and all that nonsense. I'll still need to develop something for the Perdue Drum Room we have, but, I hope it will soon become a nice hand me down to the Student Auditorium here, and I'm hoping to get Chad to build us one of these...

Chad described to me what he's building:
air flow solution
DMX package with a curved light bar recessed behind a 2ft section of ceiling
Full cabling with power, DMX, 20 mic lines, stereo returns, EtherCON connections, and neat and tidy cable trays so that all cabling is hidden.
Roto-Lock staging connections for tight, durable seals
2 ft platform deck on casters, easy enough for one person to move
air tight seal
and, the thing LOOKS incredible. No need to apologize for the ugly drum terrarium anymore. Wow!
