Default Mixing RAM brands - same specs

Have any of you had any bad/good luck mixing RAM brands?

I have 1GB of PC3200 G.Skill RAM right now, and I might be adding 1GB of pqi brand.
both have the same latency, timing, etc. Latency: 3 Timing: 3-4-4-8 at 1T.

I've mixed brands and even types in the past with no bad results, just not sure with the PC3200 and up RAM if it's choosier.

Default Re: Mixing RAM brands - same specs

I personally would be very careful with that.

My PC was running first with one 512 MB Infineon DDR 400 Modul. I had another Infineon 512 MB installed
6 weeks later. They didn't match although same brand, same type, but... different production batch #!
The shop had to put in the same to get my PC working properly.
I put in two 1GB Infineon this year, but bought two at the same time and made sure I could return them in case of problems. They run fine!!!

I recommend get the same brand, but even then first give it a try and make sure you can return it!
