Default Re: ProTools System Usage freaks out even when idling

I switched from 2012 Mac Mini with PT 2018 to the newest Mac Studio with now PT 2022.7 and tracking sessions with ZERO plugins, just straight recorded audio sound much different. Like the playback engine is sounding more hifi/scooped.

Myself and the client have both heard this. Is this intentional (if so, bad call) if not it sure would be great to figure out why it now sounds so wonky.

Are you using Sonarworks? I imagine if you’re doing TV work you’re working at 48K but my system running HDX at 96K gets CPU spikes relentlessly if the buffer is that lower than 512. In my case Sonarworks is the culprit

No.

If it's a true concern you should start a support case or at the least a new thread.

But no.
