Please add “Folder Track Saturation” to UI Customization
To be placed in UI Customization
There needs to be an option to set the “Folder Track Saturation” amount (0-100) This will allow the lines of color running in-between the tracks to be removed, leaving only the Main track color (at the top & bottom of the tracks) and the Folder Icon (on the track) to remain in place with the desired color. At present, all the lines are too bold and thick which creates visual blur & irritation to the eyes and is difficult to log. This is because every folder track has these lines of color running down both the left & right sides of itself, which as a result, “doubles-up” (all) the color lines running down the sides when tracks needs to be put side-by-side. This effect results in thick lines of color, causing a reduction in visual clarity. Please add “Folder Track Saturation” to UI Customization https://duc.avid.com/attachment.php?...1&d=1733429147

#1 I am curious what is the resolution of your display ? --I am guessing the reason your folder color lines are so wide is a low screen resolution maybe? Because on my display that is definitely not the case.. A. On my display @ 2560 X 1440 the folder color lines are not "thick" are in fact relatively thin and are quite clear "visually " And remember the color sidelines also represent a visual reference between the parent/folder track and what child tracks are in the folder when the folder is expanded (NOTE) Yes when you have two or more of the same color folder tracks collapsed and side by side, then yes there are two color lines down the side BUT it still seems to me that even the double color lines are not all that visually degraded Here are some screen shots In this one (white arrows) you can see the color lines are not as big an blurry as they are in screen grab you provided. And agin even the double blue ones are not all that visually distracting And then in this one you can see the Parent/ folder track in relation to the tracks inside it (the red lines at top of tracks ) showing the slight height difference, and then at the right side of the last included track again the color line distinguishing the included tracks from the next folder track

It's mainly a color theme problem, then yes as you suggested the screen resolution adds to the problem, I have to use 1080p. The Folder Track Saturation option in the UI Customization to remove the lines but keep the top & bottom track colors (just like normal tracks) would solve this issue. I use the Classic Theme which makes the lines clash a lot more, the Dark Theme gives the colors more contrast which makes them intergrate easier, but overall I don't like the dark theme. A saturation option for folder tracks would solve it.

I've never seen that "X" beside a plugin before.
What's it mean ? |
