Default Sequoia... anyone?

Checking back in to see if anyone's using PT with Sequoia. Most people are avoiding it since it's not PT-approved, but some machines ship with Seqouia so there are bound to be a few people running PT.

How's it going?

And no, I'm not itching to upgrade my OS, I'm just curious to know if it plays nice with HDX.

Working well here on CoreAudio interface. Buddy of mine reported that there has been some issues with Synthogy Ivory, but that is just plugin waiting for upgrade. Hardware drivers are the toughest nut to crack here.

I’m not running Sequoia, but wondering why you are suggesting that Sequoia is not Protools approved? Avid’s system / software suggests otherwise…

I've been a treehugger since the first Sequoia developer betas, recent Pro Tools releases have been working fine for me, though all the Sequoia betas. RME interfaces. Nothing like the hassle that early Sonoma was. And yes it's now formally supported.

Hallelujah! I looked through the list of updates in .10 so quickly (trying to see if the video engine was finally ARM) that I missed this very important detail.

So, I should have posed my question differently since what I'm really curious about is:

Is anyone having issues with HDX and Sequoia?

It had been theorized early on that there might be some driver hurdles for HD Native Thunderbolt users like myself.

I saw an Ivory update recently -- it may have addressed those issues.

Sequoia 15.1 on a MAC STUDIO M1 MAX, Apollo 8 interface, no issues. (It wasn’t intentional by strictest definition…I thought I was going with SONOMA but clearly missed the fine print!) Everything is good. Izotope recommends AGAINST Sequoia, but all my RX plugins are working fine too. So it should have been a “d’oh!!!” but I think I’m in good shape.

There are no changes from Apple with kext driver support in Sequoia vs other recent macOS releases.
