Soundtoys sound and pitch blender...
I used to love using Soundtoys Soundblender and Pitchbender on my old system. I was quite surprised to find out that they just stoped making them when I upgraded. Are there any close alternates out there that I should look at? I really loved scrolling through the presets on both of those plugins. Lots of interesting effects to tweak.

Re: Soundtoys sound and pitch blender...
Yeah I miss some of the old SoundToys TDM offerings. I used to use PitchDoctor quite a lot and SoundBlender too. Speed fell by the wayside too I think, or at least I haven't seen it for a long while!
If you have access to a TDM rig you can ask SoundToys for a SoundToys TDM Effects V4 - NFR license. If you where an old bundle owner they will give you the asset maybe still and it will be free. As it is I closed the door on those plugins when I sold my TDM system. To be honest, there are so many new and probably better options that they are not required. Stephen

Hi, I haven't seen anything that really does multi-fx like these plugs. Eventide factory was promising but didn't quite deliver. There's loads of good reverbs/ delays/ chorus / pitch plugs etc but not many that are multi-fx and sound like the old soundtoys blenders. I'm surprised they haven't resurrected the blenders and made one killer plugin like the original Harmonizers. Luckily i still have the blenders as im on TDM and i have an Eventide DSP4500, simply because i have found nothing that can do what they do. I have even tried building my own effects chains to emulate the same thing but it never sounds the same. Chris

But yeah, these guys have their own vibe and it isn't quite the same as what SoundToys offer. But that's not entirely a bad thing either. It's more to do with personal preferences and context than anything. |

Re: Soundtoys sound and pitch blender...
FWIW, crystallizer can do some of what soundblender/timeblender did (with granular reverse echos I think it was). Wish they continued soundblender- would make things easier. In fact I really need a license for the universal binary version of soundblender so that I can load older sessions into a intel mac pro.

Re: Soundtoys sound and pitch blender...
There's also Exponential Audio Excalibur, an excellent multi effects plugin with lots of presets.
