need some free samples for a few atmospheres of a film

any ideas where i can get some free sounds??

Buy, borrow or hire a minidisc recorder, get a reasonable quality stereo condenser. Most of those little Sony stereo MD microphones will probably suffice for atmos.

For livingroom sounds visit a few friends and setup the MD and just record the room tone, and if you need conversation just have a chat with the MD running.

For bar sounds .. take the same setup for a few bars.
