Default Pro Tools 10 closed incorrectly + save preferences against crash

Hi all,

Two points:

1 - If I close Pro Tools 10 (PC, win7) and want to reopen these, I get a message that it is closed incorrectly and I have to restart the computer. I seem to have encountered this problem at the time of PT8, but I could not remember the solution. I have not found anything on the site or on the forum. I have perhaps not the right words in English.

2 - One way is not to lose its when Pro Tools crash? It's annoying to always have to redo the set-up.

thank you.

Okay, if it can help. But according to my recollection, this beast is a detail related to Windows. Otherwise, Harware side, the only addition is a UAD DSP CORE DUO.

Thanks !

There are a couple threads related to this i believe. One of which I started. I think it has to do with something on the particular PT release. It does not do this with earlier versions of PT10.

Yo Albee...chill out with the sarcasm..we are all on here trying to help each other right?

Thank you Louie. I do 'not deal with sarcasm. There are a conformist in the community. One day, we decided that it takes a lot of information and mocked the contrary. But I think that my question does not require much information. This is a stupid problem of PT (PT is wonderful but often stupid you can not imagine the problems with a rack 003 and PT 8!: The rack 003 is sold and I have a PCE RME card with PT 10 finally, phew ... that is, with the "RME", if you change the configuration, PT must open twice to adjust ... RME says it is AVID, AVID and not responding .. .). I remember with PT8, Internet Explorer had to be chosen default browser ... strange solution (I also tried today, but it does not solve anything). A clue to the problem: if I open PT, but without session, it closes and opens properly. A session, the problem returns. I wonder if this is not the UAD, but there is nothing in the DSU and couple "UAD-ProTools," it seems to me, is very common. We would have the information.

You are welcome! I know your English is limited, but I didn't completely understand all of what you wrote. I am willing to say that this is another bug (protools closing and exiting) affecting SOME users on Windows 7. So we will hope that Avid acknowledges the issue and fixes it in another release.

I don't understand why experienced Protools troubleshooters and users on this DUC act so entitled and annoyed by users who are clearly struggling. I was attacked for almost 6 months by these "guru" types over a Windows GUI freeze issue which affected hundreds of Windows 7 users at that time....People were telling me I was irresponsible and did not use due diligence when setting up my system, that I was whining and looking for a free handout and that i essentially had a crappy computer. However, they all stayed quiet once Avid claimed responsibility and fixed it in a new release/rewrite of Ptools. FWIW

There are 1 million French-Canadian immigrants to the United States for 200 years. I imagine the number of descendants!

Okay, back to the art. I went on the UAD forum and all sorts of problems finally arrive with Pro Tools and UAD cards. I do not understand why the support of each side, not assumed. That said, it is not clear whether "DSUs". Like I said, I had this problem before, but "DSUs" at the time of version 8. I hope that someone will respond.
