Default $399 vs $599 Pro Tools Ultimate renewal

We have Pro Tools Ultimate Perpetual license.
Does anyone know what the differences on the renewal prices are - there is no information about what are the differences:

$399 1-Year Software updates + Support Plan RENEWAL
vs
$599 1-Year Subscription, Paid Upfront

That's not a lot of details to compare the 2 other than paying $200 more for something which does not say it renews Pro Tools?

Welcome to the community.

For a perpetual license with an active plan... you'd select the first one.

Thank you. I'm not sure why that didn't click as you didn't really say much more than Avid'sdescription, but the way you put it, I see what they mean now. Thank you.

We have perpetual so we'll get the cheaper one. I thought the subscription included some plugins that the software plan didn't and I was searching and searching with no results.

I figured avid wouldn't offer 'subscription' for those who have a perpetual license, but I guess someone may want an additional rig to work on.

These are no longer sold via Avid, correct? They're kinda 'available until they run out' kinda thing from dealers?
