Unfortunately, your product is not eligible for an upgrade. Student version that was purchased and activated after April 10, 2013 are no longer eligible for 4 years free upgrade.

The ball got dropped on this...I bought PT 10 Faculty, got the free PT11 upgrade, and then purchased 11HD for the software, GAVE AWAY the card I didn't need (without ever opening the box) and now have 10HD and 11HD. Last communication from you wanted to know where I bought HD (I replied) and that's the last I heard. BUT, if I have to surrender PT11 to run 12, I'd rather not. How does that work?

Pro tools for Teachers/Faculty doesn't include 4 years free upgrade. Then about your HD 11. Unfortunately, any full version purchased on or before January 22, 2015 are not eligible for a free upgrade for HD 12.

Really??? As I stated above, I bought PT10-faculty, and I got an upgrade to PT11 for free, and in fact it stated when I purchased PT10-Faculty that I got 4 years of free upgrades. AND I bought the HD package from Boynton Pro Audio on 11/4/2014. Last time I checked, that was in fact BEFORE 1/22/2015.

I was able to find your PT license and support case history... It turns out that you received a PT 11 upgrade from PT 10 as a gesture of goodwill back in 8/2013 because you stated that you bought the product and where promised 4 years of free upgrades. Not sure who promised... but I would guess it was your reseller. Avid has only provided upgrades for Pro Tools and Media Composer to Student Academic licenses. We haven't offered upgrades for free to faculty and Institution since the program began years ago. why - because Faculty and institutions make $ off teaching students therefore thy should be able to afford the $ per year for a support/upgrade plan. Avid did the right thing and provided you one year gratis but you would need to purchase the plans moving forward like every other faculty member and school does.

OK, fair enough. (I bought it from SWEETWATER, not direct, and they don't get in the habit of making things up.) Clearly a misunderstanding somewhere, but I do thank you for checking further.
EDIT:
I just checked with my Sweetwater rep, and he confirms that the 4-years of upgrades was indeed part of the plan. AND my HD purchase falls within your timetable boundaries as well.
