Default Please Fix the midi Timing

midi timing in PT 11 is terrible floats so bad with different VI's you even get different MIDI timing problems. If it was consistent it would be OK but it floats so bad it's totally unusable.
I heard it in 5 bars on the first VI I tried - does someone beta test this stuff?

Please tell me this (if true?) will be fixed ASAP, I'm still using protools 8 with an HD3accel, on a G5, fighting against bad midi everytime I want to use VIs. I'm waiting to see which upgrade path is the smartest for futur (HDX, HDN, new macpro, PC...), I was sure such a jump from my actual setup would at least give me a useable midi (you know like with an Atari ST running notator !!) just what you play is what´s recorded ! IS IT SO HARD ?
Is there still midi problems in PT9 or 10 ?

Superior and Slate SSD (with VEP5) both float the crazy thing is that SSD with VEP is tighter
both still swim

Is this confirmed?

So we finally get a release where we can actually use VI's properly and it suffers from MIDI timing issues?

Oh dear....

It's hard to see this be so totally ignored for so long a time. It is ridiculous when you consider that it is better in other DAW's. If the makers of those products can make midi more accurate why then can't the Avid engineer's apply some degree of diligence to a VERY important issue.

haven't seen any issues at all running 8 channels of MIDI out to hardware synths, plus tons of virtual instruments, etc. at 128 setting. If anything, MIDI timing is greatly improved given that I can now run 128 with tons of the AIR 11 VIs (boom, structure, Xpand, DB33, Grand Piano) and plugins.

Of course, without the OP's and others settings and system information, it's hard to understand if there's really a problem, but I'm not seeing it. While the OP may have specifics like which VI's he used, otherwise this looks like flamebait.

In general, if you're noticing a problem, give specifics - what system, what VI, etc. Otherwise, sweeping general statements like this are not helpful.
