Um...
What's the rest of your info? What version of Pro Tools? Any other software installed? What hardware? How is it connected? What are you doing at the time of the error? How is the session setup?

Other reports of 6088 errors using the 002/002r have been linked to using an unapproved firewire card. Are you using one of the approved firewire cards? Or even the 002/002r?

Hi,

I had the same error message happen to me ..
I figured out I have to diable my wireless internet connection in order for the error to stop occuring.. although other people have fixed the error in other ways. Mabye disable or fix one of your networks? Good Luck.

i tired to disable the networks, it only prolongs the error message by a few seconds... im starting to think it might be my firewire card, but im not sure i can get a new one... anyother known fixes would be helpful! thanks again guys

You could try copying your session to the internal drive and see if it runs better from there(with the external drive removed from the system). If it does, that could mean the external drive is on the way out(IBM Deskstar drives were built by Hitachi and had so many failures that IBM just quit selling drives).
