Default Does anyone use G4 + Panther + 001?

I am interested, if anyone has the mentioned configuration and if it is working properly.
This configuration is not yet officially supported by DIGI, but is supposed to anyway.
However in my case, it doesn´t.

Thanks for your information,

Works great for me, I've been running this configuration for a month or 2 now.

001/g4 (digital audio with gigadesigns 1,25 ghz single cpu clocked at 1,33)/os 1.3.2/pt le 6.2.2

no problems so far (just error 9093 sometimes, but no too often too be really annoying). runs great. i am wondering if digidesign comes out with an officially supported panther version for the digi 001 some day.

Thanks guys for your quick answers.
I find the Digi compatibility instructions a bit ambiguous on this (or more likely - I just failed to understand them).
They say that the 001 won´t work with 6.2.2 but on the other hand they say, that for panther 6.2.2 is the only option.
Luckily I got the upgrade which includes both 6.1.2 and 6.2.2. I first tried the former, which crashed at startup but after your adviced uninstalled it and put the 6.2.2 instead. It seems to be working, although it gives DAE error messages when trying to play sessions from my LaCie FireWire drive - an issue which never happened with 9.2 and ProTools 5.

Thanks a lot,

Hi there. I've just received the 6.2.2 installation CD and have installed the whole thing on my dual G4-1.25 using Panther (and Digi001). I'm experiencing trouble with Midi. Wether I try to configure Midi using AMS or the Digi I/O SetUp, I'm told that no Midi device is being detected... In one case (AMS) it just crashes and in the other (Digi I/O Midi Set up), it says "no Midi I/O detected". Everything is plugged the way it has to be and the Digi001 seems to be perfectly recognized as afr as audio's concerned.
Then, if I try to launch PT, it crashes when "Creating SDS Objects" is being reached... What the hell is SDS Objects???...
Any help highly appreciated!...

(PS: Plevanto, I hope you don't mind me stepping in your topic, but I can't find a way to post a new thread... All I can do is reply to other's).

Same guy... some minutes later. Forget what I just wrote. I've fixed the damn thing... A Unity Session Demo seemed to be causing the problem... Had to delete all related files by hand...
Just not to be completely unuseful: count me in the "Digi001 is working fine with Panther" family.
Cheers.

Yes....G4-450 AGP, 1.37 Gig of RAM, boatload of hard drive space, Digi001 with an occasional toss in of the Presonus FireStation for an additional 8 in...
Runs fine. Rock solid and not so much as a whimper.
In fact, when recording the 8 on the Digi, I am also recording stereo from the board to a Echo Mia card using Spark LE 2.8.

I'm pretty good with this combo as well. It is at least as stable as jaguar and 6.1.2. I still get unexpected quits when closing sessions, and once in awhile while previewing audiosuite plugins, but these problems have been present and unaddressed since 6.0.

Got a digital audio Giga 1.2ghz dual processor, PTLE 6.2.2 Digi 001, OSX 10.3.2. Very stable. Best yet. In fact I've not experienced one 'unexpectedly quit'. Definitely a good update!
