MBox mini is compatible with 7.4, but it needs to be connected while installing Pro Tools. Are you switching devices? Did you have a different interface hooked up when you installed 7.4?
We will also need much, much more information about your system to help you further. Please follow the instructions for posting computer specs at the end of the General Troubleshooting post.
