Default Waves Central must update?

Just got an email supposedly from Waves saying one must update Waves Central if you have an update earlier than April 11 2016 (today) because after April 14 2016 it will no longer work. Legit or is this a phishing deal? I like Waves Central but also at the same time I don;t want to muck up my system as I depend on the Waves plugins I have for work I have going on.

It's on the waves website too:

http://www.waves.com/downloads/central

According to the email sent by waves and the release notes for Central, there are some security updates and bug fixes.

Yeah I got the email too, just updated it like an hour ago.

I didn't update via the email, however. I just ran up Waves Central and it told me there was a new updated and I clicked on that link which lead me to their website.

Didn't even occur to me the email could be part of a scam. In retrospect navigating to the website yourself of clicking on the link in Waves Centra lshould eliminate the possibility of being caught out.

Thanks all; I never trust direct links in an email, especially something like this. Like Simon I try and go directly to the developer site.
