Default Separate user account for recording drive

For an installation of pro tools 7.4 XP 002 rack Is it wise to set up a separate user account for the recording drive . Had to reinstall Xp and forgot how it was set up the first time .Any help is appreciated . kevin T .

If anything, I would suggest setting up a separate Hardware Profile (different than user account);

When I was on XP I had a hardware profile setup specifically for running Pro Tools, which had all the PT optimizations and individual hardware devices switched on or off, such as network card etc.
