Pro Tools 2018.4 crashes instantly

Hi guys,
I just installed Pro Tools 2018.4 on my new iMac Pro. However, I cannot seem to get it to work. It crashes instantly at the splash screen.

Any idea what I could do? Had 12.7 installed a few days ago but couldn't use elastiqueAAX with it, hence the upgrade to 2018.4

So far I've tried:

- trashing prefs
- syncing iLok and licenses
- removed all plugins
- reinstalling PT 2018.4

however, nothing changed. It still crashes instantly.

Any ideas?

Try a complete uninstall. (prefs and all)

Then run a registry cleaner (like CCleaner Free).

Restart and install Pro Tools 2018.4.

Restart again.

Let us know.

I got the same issue on my Mac Pro ! I am running Mac 10.13.15

What should i do ?

I am also having this problem. running 10.13.5 on my MacBook Pro and pro tools 2018.4 . i have had this problem since i updated to 10.13.4, had a laps of judgment and updated again (thinking maybe my protools will start to work for some reason on .5 this time). i uninstalled and reinstalled a bunch of times on both .4 and .5 operating systems. my friends run the sam combo on their mobil set ups and they have no issues or errors but i get this frustrating crash immediately when starting up. it seemingly doesn't even try to load anything, it crashes so fast.

maybe i am not uninstalling and reinstalling correctly? would love some input and maybe even a step by step complete uninstall and reinstall just to make sure i'm not doing something silly.

just incase it matters... its a brand new computer, 2 months old.

I am running 10.12.6 with fairly few issues. Maybe roll the OS back a little further

I just renewed my plan and tried 2018.4 and crashed instantly....

So I downloaded 2018.3 and wow .... the most stable version of Pro Tools I ever used so far .... seems flawless ...

I've got exactly the same issue. Fresh install of High Sierra on a 2 year old trashcan Mac Pro, fresh install of PT2018.4 (no other software yet) and crashes at splash screen. Really need this studio back up and running ASAP!

You should do the same thing I did .... Just reinstall the Pro Tools 2018.3 and keep it ! you don't need to update

I had a similar issue when changing computer, Pro Tools was trying to use the aggregate audio driver, which had mixed several incompatible interfaces (internal + hdmi audio in my video monitor). I first cleaned up the aggregate audio mess in the audio configuration app and trashed preferences and *then* iI could launch
