Default Bounce (mixdown) stops due to cpu overload

Hello all,

Sometime ago a bought Protools M-Powered 7.1 to continue mixing on projects which were recorded and mixed in protools in another studio. I'm still trying to accustoming myself with it because I always used Cubase for that.

When I'm trying to bounce a project it always stop because of CPU overload?? Wich is strange because when mixing I don't have any CPU overloads , and it is strange anyway because I barely use anything cpu intensive.(I'm arround 25%)
I'm used to the fact that when doing a bounce it even doesn't matter how cpu intensive your project is. Cubase SX and 4 just calculates the sum of everything and writes it to disk. Protools apparently only record it's output in real time. This is, except for the fact it takes long time to bounce it also can't overcome these cpu problems.

Am I missing something. Any solution? Freeze? Is anything changed in that aspect in 7.3

Default Re: Bounce (mixdown) stops due to cpu overload

what plugins are on the tracks?

some plugins cause the cpu to go haywire.

there was talk on this board about some plugins that weren't written correctly, and cause the cpu to go into a loop - where even if they are on one track, the cpu spikes to 100%.

disable all your plugins and try to bounce without them.

if that works, then it's one of the plugins.

you also did not mention any of your harware.

you need to give info about your system config / harware to get any real help.
