Why not FIREWIRE - Mbox 2 Micro
Real simple, "why not Firewire"? USB is very taxing on the laptop as it is.

Because this is basically a dongle with a headphone out jack, not an audio interface. It does little more than allow protools to run.

Well, purely as a practical matter:
Some PC laptops don't have Firewire. Most PC laptops have the mini Firewire connector; most Mac laptops have the full size. Would you really want to use a little adapter if you didn't have the one Digi chose? |
