Default Avid announces new Mac Pro compatibility

Avid has not put this on the site yet, but Sweetwater news has stated that Avid has announced that the 8 core and 12 core are officially compatible with Protools HD and HD Native. It's under their Tech Tips column:

Well, I have been running 12 core for few days. Everything is fine in 32bits mode. but i think ProTools 8.1 need new CS update for RTAS meter is NOT working at all. the meter showing same information as my 2006 MacPro. And i didn't hit the max power of cuz.

Slightly worrying the 6 core is not on the official list:
