Running Pro Tools 11 on windows 10

Here's what worked for me...

I installed Pro Tools as normal and chose to "Restart Later" when it prompted me to restart.

I then went into Add or Remove programs and I uninstalled the "PACE License support" that was also installed during the Pro Tools installation. After I uninstalled, I restarted the computer.

Tried to run Pro Tools and of course it won't work without the iLok License support installed. I then went to iLok.com and installed the latest version of the iLok License Manager. Tried Pro Tools again and it worked!

As of now, Pro Tools 11 and Windows 10 have both been operating smoothly as normal! I am thrilled. Good luck my friends.

I wouldn't be so brave to even dare to try. It was W7/8 era product...

I don't think it's such a crazy idea; that PT11 crashing on win 11, even though not supported, could be caused by the Pace extension rather than PT11's incompatibility. Two guys on that thread says the method works.

Anyway, some might find it's worth a try.

Yeap, always someone. Not supported does not necessarily mean not working. But you are on your own by doing so. You have no idea how many times I have posted here about unsupported OS/PT combination and given compatibility information. Sheesh, I would not care if people try whatever if they just try it themselves...
