I agree. I have been looking into filing a class action lawsuit regarding the lack of upgrade from DV Toolkit to CPTK2, and will update you on the status and how to join if successful.

I wouldn't waste either yours or your lawyer's time...

You bought an advertised product at an advertised price. You received that product.

End of story...

Unless there was some type of written promise (or possibly a verbal one from an Avid officer), Avid is not legally obligated to offer you an upgrade.

So it would be really nice if some of this whining would just stop...

BTW: I didn't feel like it was fair for Avid to want me to pay $299 for the PT 9 > PT 10 update less than a year after I paid $250 for the PT 8 > PT 9 update, so I'm staying on PT 9 and using the $299 to explore other options.

Of course, I would consider staying with PT if Avid wants to put a free PT 10 update in my My Avid account... but I don't really think my business is that important to them...

Note that all opinions, observations, whatever, in this post are mine, unless I'm being mean or am wrong, in which case it's somebody else's fault. I do not work for Avid (their loss)...my only relationship with Avid is that of a customer (when I'm not too poor to buy stuff, like now)...and that hot administrative assistant...that's more of a "thing" than a "relationship" (that should keep them guessing for a while...)

Just rockin'...what more is there?

I'm going to start a class action lawsuit against Ford.
Just ONE YEAR after I bought my SUV, they released a new model, with more features, and there's no upgrade path. Bastards!
