Default Avid editor - needs trim like function

I'm an Avid editor first, pro tools is much newer to me.

In Avid after you cut a clip (of video or audio) you can later extend that clip back out if you cut off too much. Is there a way to do that in pro tools?

Yes, conveniently enough, the 'trimmer' [F6] tool does this.

In your getting started manual, check out the 'trimming regions' section. If you have the PDF (in Digideign->Documentation) you can search for 'trimmer'
