working with triggers
hey my friend has some triggers for drums. i was wondering how i would use these with my 002. i've never touched midi for that matter. anyone care to shed some light?

Have not used them myself, but I would imagine it is close to this:
Triggers run into a central brain that enables the sounds. That then is piped into PT via MIDI plug. You would then need to create a MIDI track and assign the input to the appropriate MIDI output that is coming fron that BRAIN. It should then register the MIDI hits when the triggers are hit. I was going to do this setup, but learned that you needed to buy a drum or sound bank that would allow the sounds. There may be other ways, but that is how I understand it works. It will creat individual MIDI hits and the data is stored as MIDI data. Hope that this is right and that it may help???? -Doc

Once you have the MIDI events from the triggers in a PT MIDI track, you can use Reason or SampleTank (or other things) to actually produce the sound.
