Default DynAssist vs splitS + Lite?

Hey guys,

I'm thinking about investing into my toolset again and am really intrigued by DynAssist and SplitS.

Is DynAssist a better purchase than SplitS when it comes to controlling sibilance? Or is SplitS significantly superior?

DynAssist seems to be really attractive because it can also automate, gate and control breath.

Or would sticking with DynAssist Lite + SplitS be a better option?

If you don’t need full automation-writing or deep multi-band expansion, then DynAssist Lite + SplitS is a good combo.

What do you mean by full automation-writing?

Will the lite version also include instrument detection?

Can the Lite version at any time made into full without having to reinstall anything?

An example is it can automatically generate volume automation to duck breaths or de-ess without applying destructive gain changes.

DynAssist Lite has limited or no sound source detection. It applies the same processing logic across the board.

Full DynAssist may include more adaptive behavior, possibly tied to vocal/instrument profile recognitiom, which can help it adjust thresholds and timing for different materials.

If this detection matters for your workflow (using the plugin on music tracks beyond vocals), the full version offers better adaptability.

Yes it allow in-place upgrading from Lite to Full via a license unlock or serial key so you won’t have to reinstall the plugin; instead, it will be detected once the full version is activated/authorized.
